same as yours bro... the materials you downloaded were suited only for high end and extreme rigs... just lower down the subdivs

well answered n bro..subdivision lng ..lower lng..minimum 8 lng..i think sa settings lng...experimenting on the render settings is the best i think..

In my experience, sometimes it helps to pump up the glossies' subdivision rather than the global value.

Kasi kung ok na yung sampling at material level - di na mag-aaksya ng panahon ang vray para gawing pino ang alisin ang noise sa image during rendering.

galing talaga ni master v_wrangler... tama po kayo dyan!!!

IM USING MAC PRO 8 CORE s office...if using archshaders talagang mabagal sya!! kaya binabasan ko ng kauti yung subdivs 50 to 24.. i also change the size of the image kasi minsan sobra laki... nakaka efecto din yan s rendering kung malaki ang image.... try nyo lang ang difference... tama si master v_ wrangler s paliwanag nya... tnx again master v_wrangler!

Hi jay! Have you checked the map size of that particular material? Kasi some of my experiences, hi quality maps that you get from DL's has a size of 6000x6000 even more sometimes.... THIS IS TOO MUCH!!! It can crash a system, believe me! Just re size it sa PS. Usually I use 1200x1200 to 1500x1500 maximum. Minsan nga 800x800 lang eh... hehehe

I have experienced that also, pag sobrang laki ang map, nag-cra-crash ang system mo. So what i do is just drop it down to 800x800...that way, gagaan ang file na gamit mo.

Hope it helps...

Salamat butz,

Bitmap size is subjective. The decision to go hires or low res really depend on what you're camera will be seing. If you would have closeups - of course the texture size should be bigger than your rendering size.

My rule of thumb - texture size should be at least 2 times your rendering size lalo na if you are working on animation and you do not know how close the camera will be. Otherwise - your textures will look pixelated and will destroy the realism of the scene.

Also - check out bitmap proxies sa help files.
