What is your Workflow?
First topic message reminder :
I think its good to share kung anu yung workflow natin from modelling to post processing. And how do you export it from one image to another.
here are my common workflows:
modelling:
architectural: Sketchup most of the time. If plans are complicated I normally import autocad drawing to sketchup and turn them into Group for tracing and reference.
product models: i use jpg pictures as reference and model them using sketchup. most of the time i have 2 or 3 views.
organic modelling: workflow - sketchup na halos.
rendering:
- sketchup output for quick presentation for interior sometime using Light Up for interior and export them as jpg. (mabilisan)
- rendering using sketchup pluggin like podium, vray su, kerkythea (before), twighlight or (average speed) and most of the time diffuse and alpha are save either with jpg or png.
- sometimes i export the 3ds to max, add some components and rendered using Vraymax (matagal sa akin to) then save the render image either in bmp, png
- in other cases kapag product i used hypershot or sometimes indigo. saved them in png
post processing: Photoshop siempre but sometimes i use photomatix from the 3 rendered different exposures.

Re: What is your Workflow?
i have to admit that vraysu lags far more behind than vraymax. kung baga yung vraymax talagang establish na. ikalawa yung SU hirap talaga sa pagsuporta ng maraming polygons. so yung parsing time. pagcalculate ng su gemetry and materials medyo matagal.. kaya nga marami ang nagrerender sa varymax rather than vraysu. i guess the prefered workflow ng karamihan ay imodel sa max ang basic architectural structure tapos gawin sa max ang nalalabi.
the question is bakit hinid ako mag vraymax render.. kasi nga dahil raw na raw sa max, hinid ko maipalitaw ang nagagawa ko sa SU and i am very frustrated with that.
i will be in manila too. end of march naman mga isang week. but will be in singapore end of feb. i guess when you are in the philippines. pero palagay ko kung magsstay ka ng more than a year magkikita pa tayo.

Re: What is your Workflow?
actually i saw a very interesting work flow. and parang gusto ko ring gawin. after nga initial render. i piprint nya yung render. then he will overlay ink and pencil dun sa rendered image.

Re: What is your Workflow?
Interestingly, Alex Roman has used the almost the same workflow (part2) but instead using a ready made model at google warehouse here.
