and in addition to your post-process.... you might want to apply a " SCREEN " mode after the gaussian blur so you have a better control over the opacity and also try breaking up the light streak into 2 parts since the window pane has a metal strip division at the middle making the strip block some streak that flows thru the room and looks more natural...
