Need some information
Hi everyone,
I will be going home to Philippines for a few months and I wanted to buy some parts for my current PC rig.
I will be in Manila for a few days so I do not know if I have time to go around. I am no longer updated with good PC stores in the Philippines.
My current rig is:
Processor: Core i7 940 2.93 ghz
motherboard: Asus Rampage II extreme
RAM: 12 gig
PS: 800watts
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 4870
OS: Windows xp 64bit
here is what i need:
1. I want to buy a Geforce 295 and switch my HD 4870 so that I can benefit for greater gaming and other things.
a.) I want to know what current brands are best for the video card and is available in Philippines...eg. sapphire, Inno3d...etc. I do not want my video card to fail in the middle of a good game.
b.) Where can I get this card in either Makati or Alabang area
c.) Any Idea how much does it cost now?
2. I am also switching to Windows 7 64bit. Any Idea how much it cost back home?
3. I think my 800 watt PS is still sufficient to support the Geforce 295, I am a bit skeptical of needing to upgrade this.
I am happy about my current rig because it was able to render all of my scenes, specially the " Lonely Town " animation, with all the precalculation and approximately 12 million polycount without crashing. I just want to upgrade it a bit.
I hope someone can answer my questions. Many thanks.
